This case study focuses on paper supplier selection for a corrugated box plant using the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). Four criteria were evaluated by top management among three paper suppliers. The two suppliers with the highest overall score were retained as vendors. A consistency index (CI) was compared to a Random Index (RI) value for n = 4 criteria to determine the level of consistency in top management’s judgments. Results show that Supplier A achieved the highest overall score followed by Supplier B and both were retained as vendors. The consistency ratio, CR = 0.0113 < 0.05, indicates very good consistency in top management’s preferences.
